Slow and delicately cooked - this staple food dish is eaten all over India and the subcontinent for a good reason - it's delicious, packed with flavour and very healthy! The long, slow cooking of the dal produces a soft creaminess which, after adding the tarka, elevates the finished dish by giving a warming, spicy and nutty flavour.
HOW TO REHEAT - Defrost at room temperature. Oven cook for 30 minutes at 180°c. Microwave cook for 4 minutes on highest setting.
